The Speaker's Map System

The Speaker’s Map is a complete self-guided training program. It takes you through the system step by step so you can prepare, practice, and deliver a clear presentation on your own.

The system is designed to save time, improve confidence and delivery, and lead to a clear message.

Start with Organization

Many speaking problems begin before you stand up to speak. If the presentation is not clearly organized, it is harder to stay on track, the audience may have trouble following, and speaking naturally becomes more difficult.

That is why The Speaker’s Map System begins with organization rather than delivery.

It gives you a clear process for deciding what you want to accomplish, what belongs in the presentation, and how to organize it so the audience can follow.

Each step builds on the decisions you made in the one before it.

Four Steps to a Clear Presentation

1. Presentation Analysis

Start with the audience, the speaking situation, and your Goal.

2. Funnel to a Clear Theme

Narrow the Topic until you know what this presentation is really about.

3. Main Point Worksheet

Develop the Main Points and Support that belong in the presentation.

4. Create the Speaker’s Map

Turn the presentation into a simple visual guide that helps you see the structure and stay on track while you speak.

From the Map to the Presentation

Once you've organized your presentation, the Speaker’s Map becomes your guide for practice and delivery. It helps you stay on track and speak naturally, so you can focus on communicating with your audience rather than remembering exact words.

Where the System Came From

The system began when I started teaching public speaking and discovered that much of the advice focused on delivery—make eye contact, sound confident, stop saying “um”—but did not explain how to organize a presentation.

My students needed a way to turn what they knew into a clear structure they could follow while speaking.

That was the missing piece.

Over time, the process I developed with students and later used with clients became The Speaker’s Map System.

One-on-one coaching is also available for speakers who want individualized feedback or help with a particularly important presentation.
